The Premium SUS range is designed for fast transient response and systematic suppression of mechanical distortion. Stainless steel is used continuously from the headshell and arm pipe through the pivot structure and base, creating a rigid transmission path with closely fitted surface-contact joints and very little adhesive.
Arm-pipe resonance control
The version-two arm pipe is packed exclusively with dense carbon fibre. Its low-resistance silver conductors are individually silk-wrapped, bundled as four strands, wrapped in silk once more and then enclosed in carbon fibre before installation. Glanz uses damping and rigidity together so the arm can release stored energy without blunting musical attack.
Counterweight and tracking stability
A five-layer counterweight damper combines stainless steel, tungsten, carbon fibre, polymer, paper and rubber. Tungsten is bonded into the counterweight with rubber and concentrated near the pivot, lowering rotational inertia and helping the stylus follow the groove accurately.
Precision bearing system
The gimbal employs three large radial bearings and a precision thrust bearing at the lower vertical axis. The inside-force canceller, armrest and lifter can each be removed, allowing owners to retain only the fittings required for their installation. Glanz also recommends its optional stainless-steel mounting base where the turntable permits a more rigid foundation.
